Atmospheric and moody pictures of the Faroe Islands via Italian photographer Marco Valmori. A part of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Faroe Islands is composed of eighteen rocky, volcanic islands between Iceland and Norway within the North Atlantic Ocean and are hooked up via street tunnels, ferries, causeways and bridges. Hikers and bird-watchers are attracted to the islands’ mountains, valleys and grassy heathland, and steep coastal cliffs that harbor 1000’s of seabirds.
