“5 and counting, and all in a similar fashion designed, I were given my first 3 tattoos atGiggling Buddha in Seattle, WA, the town wherein I used to be born; I were given the second onetwo at King Cobra in State School, PA, the town wherein my son was once born.As a result of I watched my very own father’s drug dependancy compromise his means withcare, I spent an excessive amount of of my adolescence and maturity believing I had tospare others and myself the load of my reliance. In fact, that was once simply thisson’s early flailing towards the truth of being failed through one main supply of sunshine. And so, this ongoing tattoo collection displays my dedication (in addition to myfight) to acknowledge, honor, and on occasion rename the numinous resources ofgentle—wholesome or differently—that permit us to look, perceive, and transferourselves thru this existence.”
Geffrey additionally shared the next poem:
~ ~ ~
how steadily will your dearness fly
down the open throat of existence
and restart the paintings of wringing myths
from my mouth even the promised frame
blunders like this nights I slip
outdoor as the town sleeps
to spark a sickly flame towards the burst
of stars or June fireflies dispersed
within the backyard after which the radiance
of one thing else wide awake in the dead of night
floods the scene as though to break as though
your rogue tenderness itself both means
my head’s calamity ignites with conjuring
and banishing—this means that I’m
a heat diaspora of blues this means that
my fingers will fail to hold anyone
system for gentle which is to mention no
equivalent indicators flare inside of this center
