WOHA’s Kampung Admiralty Singapore Named 2018 Building of the Year at World Architecture Festival

WOHA’s Kampung Admiralty Singapore in Singapore has been named the 2018 World Building of the Year at the World Architecture Festival, concluding this 12 months’s three-day match in Amsterdam. The construction, which mixes devoted senior-housing amenities with a wide mixed-use program and a lush inexperienced roof, used to be decided on from a strikingly wide shortlist that integrated works from places of work reminiscent of Sanjay Puri Architects, Koffi & Diabate Architectes, Heatherwick Studio, Spheron Architects, and INNOCAD.

The World Architecture Festival invitations shortlisted architects from round the global to provide their tasks in a variety of classes, the winners of that are invited to provide in entrance of a Super Jury for ultimate variety. 

Also introduced used to be the 2018 Future Project of the Year, an award that recognises outstanding attainable in an as-yet unbuilt venture. This 12 months’s honoree used to be the Medellin River Parks / Botanical Master Plan through Colombian Architects Sebastian Monsalve + Juan David Hoyos. The venture, which can introduce new public inexperienced area to the center of the Medellin, is an essential component of the ongoing city renaissance in the Colombian town.
